Product information "Anti-Karyopherin alpha 3 (KPNA3, hSRP1, Importin alpha 3 Subunit, Importin alpha 4, IPOA4, Importin"
The transport of molecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm in eukaryotic cells is mediated by the nuclear pore complex (NPC), which consists of 60-100 proteins. Small molecules (up to 70 kD) can pass through the nuclear pore by nonselective diffusion while larger molecules are transported by an active process. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the importin alpha family, and is involved in nuclear protein import. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000, Western Blot: 0.2ug/ml, ~55-60kD band observed in Human Testis and Kidney lysates (predicted size of approx. 58kD according to NP_002258), Immunohistochemistry: 5-10ug/ml, In paraffin embedded Human Heart shows strong pixulate staining of myocardial fibres in transverse section., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
