Anti-FUSIP1 (FUS-interacting Protein (Serine-arginine Rich) 1, FUS Interacting Serine Arginine Rich

FUSIP1 is a member of the serine-arginine (SR) family of proteins, which is involved in constitutive and regulated RNA splicing. Members of this family are characterized by N-terminal RNP1 and RNP2 motifs, which are required for binding to RNA, and multiple C-terminal SR/RS repeats, which are important in mediating association with other cellular proteins. FUSIP1 can influence splice site selection of adenovirus E1A pre-mRNA. It interacts with the oncoprotein TLS, and abrogates the influence of TLS on E1A pre-mRNA splicing. Alternative splicing of this gene results in at least two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. This antibody is specific for isoform 3 of FUSIP1. Applications: Suitable for use Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5 mg/ml,, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positve Control: HepG2 whole cell extracts. ~22kDa, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
