Product information "Anti-Fucosyltransferase 11 (FUT11, FucTXI, alpha 1,3 fucosyltransferase 11)"
FUT11 (Fucosyltransferase 11, also FucTXI and alpha 1,3 fucosyltransferase 11) is a 56kD (predicted) member of the glycosyltransferase 10 family of enzymes. It is potentially an ER associated enzyme that catalyzes the addition of alpha-L-fucose to a biantennary N-glycan acceptor. Rather than serve as a permanent modification, this fucosylation may serve as a quality control mechanism, flagging inappropriately glycosylated molecules. Human FUT11 is a type II transmembrane protein 492aa in length. It contains a short cytoplasmic region (aa1-7) plus an extended lumenal domain (aa25-492). that possesses a transferase region (aa60-360). There are two potential splice variants. One shows an Arg sunstitution for aa445-472, while a second shows a 31aa substitution for aa446-472. Over aa25-492, human FUT11 shares 88% aa identity with mouse FUT11. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecicpitation, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
