Product information "Anti-Fibrinogen (Coagulation Factor I)"
Thrombin converts fibrinogen into fibrin, which is then cross-linked by factor XIII to form a blood clot. Also recognises fibrin degradation products (FDPs), substances that are left behind after a blood clot dissolves. This process, called fibrinolysis, is produced by the action of enzymes such as plasmin on fibrin. One FDP is D-dimer, levels of which can be used to diagnose deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. fibrinolytic system is also closely linked to the control of inflammation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the Sp2/0 myeloma cell line. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
