Anti-CD80 (B7-1 Costimulator Protein), clone 5C30

CD80, also known as BB1/B7-1, is a 60kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is expressed on activated B cells, T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. It is a ligand of the two T cell costimulatory molecules, CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). The interaction of CD80 (or CD86) with CD28 provides a costimulatory signal for T cells activated through the CD3/TCR complex. Applications: Blocking and staining antibody. For staining, use 10ul/10e6 cells. Titer for blocking T cell activation should be determined by the investigator. Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 0.5ml of dH2O. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
