Product information "Anti-CCR5 (Chemokine Receptor 5, CC-CCR-5, CD195)"
The CC chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5) is a member of the CC chemokine receptor family. It has the characteristic structure of a 7 transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR). CCR5 is a receptor for a number of inflammatory CC chemokines including MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-beta and RANTES. It transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ion level and may play a role in the control of granulocytic lineage proliferation or differentiation. It also acts as a coreceptor (CD4 being the primary receptor) for HIV-1 R5 isolates. CCR5 is highly expressed in spleen, thymus, and also in the myeloid cell line THP-1, the promyeloblastic cell line KG-1A and on the CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells. Moreover, recent studies have highlighted the role of CCR5 in a variety of human diseases, ranging from infectious and inflammatory diseases to cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.05-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 5-10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
