Product information "Anti-Cav1.3 (Alpha 1d, L-type of Voltage-gated Calcium Channel, Cacna1d)"
Voltage-sensitive calcium channels (vscc) mediate the entry of calcium ions into excitable cells and are also involved in a variety of calcium-dependent processes, including muscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release, gene expression, cell motility, cell division and cell death. The isoform alpha-1c gives rise to l-type calcium currents. Long-lasting (l-type) calcium channels belong to the "high-voltage activated" (hva) group. They are blocked by dihydropyridines (dhp), phenylalkylamines, benzothiazepines, and by omega-agatoxin-IIIA (omega-aga-IIIA). They are however insensitive to omega-conotoxin- gvia (omega-ctx-gvia) and omega-agatoxin-IVA (omega-aga-IVA) (Swiss Prot). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: Rat brain membranes (1:200)., Immunohistochemistry: Rat brain sections., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Antigen Included: C2097-85D2, Preadsorption Control: 1ug peptide per 10ug antibody., Standard Quality Control of Each Lot: Western Blot. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
