Anti-Carbonic Anhydrase VI (Salivary Carbonic Anhydrase, Gustin)

Carbonic Anhydrase VI (CA6), also known as gustin and salivary carbonic anhydrase, is a secreted zinc metalloenzyme that is a major protein component of parotid saliva and milk. It carries out a mucosal protective function by regulating pH balance in the upper alimentary and respiratory tracts. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Intracellular Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml, 10ul of the diluted solution labels 1-5x10e5 OVCAR-3 cells in a total reaction volume < 200ul. For intracellular staining, cells must first be fixed and permeabilized using PBS, 4% paraformaldehyde, 0.1% saponin. , Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The detection limit is ~1ng/well., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
