Anti-Calnexin

Calnexin is calcium-binding protein that interacts with newly synthesized glycoproteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. It may be involved in assisting protein assembly or in the retention within the ER of unassembled protein subunits. It seems to play a major role in the ER quality control apparatus via the retention of incorrectly folded proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.05-0.2ug/ml, Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml, Flow Cytometry: 1-3ug to label 1x10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
