Anti-CA50, Cancer Antigen (Colorectal Carcinoma Cell Line, COLO-205)

Cancer antigen 50 (CA50), a carcinoma associated carbohydrate antigen, was found to be elevated in the blood of patients with colorectal cancer and other malignancies. CA50 has been evaluated in various studies for use as a tumor marker for cancer diagnosis. Results showed that CS50 was marginally useful for the diagnosis and very useful for the follow up study of patients with pancreatic cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.2ng/ml can recognize coated 1ug/ml of CA50/well. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
