BTK, a BTK/TEC type kinase, is a key regulator of B cell development. BTK interacts with the SRC homolog 3 domains of FYN, LYN, and HCK. All of these protein tyrosine kinases are activated upon stimulation of B and T cell receptors. Defects in the Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) gene cause Agammaglobulinemia, an X-linked immunodeficiency characterized by failure to produce mature B lymphocyte cells and associated with a failure of Ig heavy chain rearrangement. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
