Anti-Brain-Specific Receptor-like Protein A (BSRP-A)

BSRP-A (Brain-specific receptor-like protein A, also SEZ6L2) is a 170kD member of the BSRP family of proteins. It is expressed in the plasma membrane and ER of CNS neurons, and likely regulates PKC alpha activation. Mature mouse BSRP-A is an 890aa type I transmembrane protein. It contains an 824aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa21-844) and a 43aa cytoplasmic tail. The ECD shows two CUB domains and five short consensus repeats (SCRs). There are multiple isoforms for BSRP-A. One shows a premature truncation after Arg403, a second shows a deletion of aa71-130, and a third likely represents the full-length form that contains a 13aa insertion after Val830. Over aa28-837, mouse BSRP-A is 96% and 99% aa identical to human and rat BSRP-A, respectively. , , Applications: , Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
