Anti-Brain-Specific Angiogenesis Inhibitor 2 (BAI2)

BAI2 may be involved in angiogenesis inhibition. It has a similar structure to BAI1 which is a seven-span transmembrane protein. BAI2 is strongly expressed in brain but it is also detected in heart, thymus, skeletal muscle, and diferent cell lines. It is a multi-pass membrane protein. It belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family and it contains one GPS domain as well as four TSP type-1 domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
