Anti-Bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP7, OP-1, Osteogenic Protein-1)

Bone morphogenetic protein-7 (BMP-7), also known as osteogenic protein-1, is a member of the TGF- superfamily, and is widely expressed during embryonic development. Like other members of the bone morphogenetic protein family, BMP-7 works synergistically with BMP-2 to play a key role in the differentiation of mesenchymal cells into bone and cartilage tissues by actively recruiting stem cells from the surrounding tissue, thereby initiating the bone formation cascade. In adult cells, BMP-7 is predominately expressed in the brain, kidneys, and bladder. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
