Product information "Anti-ALS2CR2 (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 chromosomal region candidate gene 2 protein, CALS-21,"
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase STE20 subfamily. One of the active site residues in the protein kinase domain of this protein is altered, and it is thus a pseudokinase. This protein is a component of a complex involved in the activation of serine/threonine kinase 11, a master kinase that regulates cell polarity and energy-generating metabolism. This complex regulates the relocation of this kinase from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, and it is essential for G1 cell cycle arrest mediated by this kinase. The protein encoded by this gene can also interact with the X chromosome-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein, and this interaction enhances the anti-apoptotic activity of this protein via the JNK1 signal transduction pathway. Two pseudogenes, located on chromosomes 1 and 7, have been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000, Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, ~35kD band observed in Human Heart, Liver and Muscle lysates (calculated MW of 47.0kD according to NP_061041.2 (alpha isoform) and 31.2kD according to AAF71042.1(beta isoform). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing ILPIP a band of approx. 48kD is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected HEK293., Immunohistochemistry: 3-5ug/ml in paraffin embedded Human Heart shows staining of myocardial fibres in transverse section., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
