Anti-alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP)

AFP is normally synthesized in the liver, intestinal tract, and yolk sac of the fetus. Antibody to AFP has been shown to be useful in detecting hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) and germ cell neoplasms, especially yolk sac tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Use as the conjugate antibody., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pairs: Capture: F4100-05A, F4100-21, Detection: F4100-21, F4100-05A, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
