Product information "Anti-a1Acid Glycirprotein (Orosomucoid)"
Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (orosomucin) (A1AG) is a major serum glycoprotein of unknown physiological function. (1)alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (A1AG) has been implicated in cellular inflammation by increasing tissue factor expression and tumor necrosis factor alpha secretion of monocytes. alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (A1AG) protein is associated with five asparaginyl-linked complex oligosaccaride chains, the proportions and identities of which are altered in several physiological and pathological conditions (2)alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (A1AG) is also clinically important as a non-specific drug binder in serum. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 2ug/ml, Western Blot: 0.5-0.05ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
