Anti-Myc Tag

Applications: , Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml of this lot detected a Myc epitope tagged protein in a transfected Cos-1 cell lysate. 1ug/ml of a previous lot detected endogenous Myc in HeLa nuclear extract. A lysate of transfected Cos-1 cells was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Myc Tag (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Myc epitope tagged protein (~66kD), Immunocytochemistry: Reported to detect Myc-tagged proteins in transfected cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
