FITC-C6-D(OMe)E(OMe)VD(OMe)-FMK

Ex: 492 nm. Em: 516 nm. Soluble in: DMSO. Activation of caspases plays a central role in apoptosis. FITC-C6-D(OMe)E(OMe)VD(OMe)-FMK provides a convenient means for sensitive detection of activated caspase-3 in living cells. FITC-C6-D(OMe)E(OMe)VD(OMe)-FMK is cell permeable, nontoxic, and irreversibly binds to activated caspase-3 in apoptotic cells. Based on our in-house studies FITC-C6-D(OMe)E(OMe)VD(OMe)-FMK gave the highest signal/background ratio compared to other DEVD-FMK probes we tested. The FITC label allows for direct detection of activated caspases in apoptotic cells by fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, or fluorescence plate reader.
