SAPK2, p38 Inhibitor (SB 203580 Free Base, Stress-activated Protein Kinase 2 Inhibitor)

Important, highly specific inhibitor of the kinase known variously as p38, p40, CSBP, or RK. This kinase is a homolog of MAP kinase. Gallagher, T.F., et al. Solubility: Soluble in DMSO at 100mg/ml, soluble in ethanol at 12.5mg/ml with warming, very poorly soluble in water, maximum solubility in plain water is estimated to be about 10-50uM, buffers, serum, or other additives may increase or decrease the aqueous solubility. Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
