IL-22 BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit, Human

Interleukin-22 (IL-22), also known as ILTIF, is protein that in humans is encoded by the IL22 gene. IL-22 a member of a group of cytokines called the IL-10 family or IL-10 superfamily a class of potent mediators of cellular inflammatory responses. Using FISH, the IL22 gene is mapped to chromosome 12q15, close to the IFNG and the herpesvirus saimiri-induced AK155 genes. IL-22 can contribute to immune disease through the stimulation of inflammatory responses, S100s and defensins. IL-22 also promotes hepatocyte survival in the liver and epithelial cells in the lung and gut similar to IL-10. In some contexts, the pro-inflammatory versus tissue-protective functions of IL-22 are regulated by the often co-expressed cytokine IL-17A. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Assay Summary: 1. Add 100ul of samples and standards and incubate the plate at 37°C for 90 minutes. Do not wash., 2. Add 100ul biotinylated antibody and incubate the plate at 37°C for 60 minutes. Wash plate 3 times with 0.01M TBS or PBS., 3. Add 100ul of ABC working solution and incubate the plate at 37°C for 30 minutes. Wash plate 5 times with 0.01M TBS or PBS., 4. Add 90ul of TMB color developing agent and incubate the plate at 37°C in dark for 20-25 minutes., 5. Add 100ul TMB Stop Solution and read.
