The gene for cJun is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. The cJun protein is a transcription factor highly similar to the viral protein, and interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. The gene maps to 1p32-p31, a chromosomal region involved in both translocations and deletions in human malignancies. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Dot Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Dot Blot: 1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
