TNF receptor I (TNF RI), also known as the p55 TNF receptor or CD120a, is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. It has a molecular weight of 55kD and contains 4 extracellular cysteine-rich domains and an intracytoplasmic death domain of 80 aa, which can trigger apoptosis. Mouse and human TNF RI share 64% aa sequence homology and as a result, both human and mouse TNF-alpha bind TNF RI from either species with comparable affinities. A variety of cells have been shown to express TNF RI, including monocytes and neutrophils,6 hepatocytes,7 endothelial cells,8 and CD34+ hematopoetic progenitor cells.9. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels <1x10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma with B cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C. Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing Allophycocyanin conjugates will result in a substantial loss of enzymatic activity.
