Rad50, a 153kD protein involved in DNA double strand break repair, is associated with Mre11 and p95 (Nibrin) to form a multiprotein complex involved in the double strand break repair process. Upon DNA damage, Rad50 and Mre11 redistribute and are colocalized within the nucleus of damaged cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Not suitable for Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation: 3-4x10e6 cells , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
