Anti-NUP98 (ADIR2, Nuclear pore complex protein Nup98-Nup96 precursor, NUP196)

NUP98 (nucleoporin 98kD) is a component of the nuclear pore complex. It is expressed as three different precursors that undergo auto-cleavage to generate a common amino-terminal 98kD peptide (NUP98) and carboxy-terminal 6, 96 (NUP96) and 88 (p88)kD peptides (1-2). NUP98 contains FG and GLFG repeat domains at its amino terminus and a RNA-binding domain in its carboxy terminus (3). The NUP98 gene is localized on chromosome 11p15.5, a region frequently rearranged in leukemias. To date, 15 fusion partners have been identified for NUP98 (4-5). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:50, Western Blot: 1:1000, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. , Immunoprecipitation: 1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
