Ly6A/E is a member of the lymphocyte activation protein-6 (Ly6) multigene family. , Ly6A/E is also known as stem cell antigen-1 (Sca-1). It is an 18kD mouse glycosyl phosphatidylinositol-anchored cell surface protein of the Ly6 gene family. It is expressed on multipotent hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow of mice with both the Ly6.1 and Ly6.2 allotypes. As such, it is the most common marker used for enriching adult hematopoietic stem cells. It has varied functions, it plays a role in bone formation, myoblast proliferation and differentiation and the activation and immunosuppressive function of T cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:5-1:10 Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10e6 cells in 100ul., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store at 4° C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE. This product is stable at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
