Anti-Ki-67 (Antigen Identified by Monoclonal Antibody Ki-67, KIA, MKI67, Proliferation Related Ki-67

Ki67 antigen is the prototypic cell cycle related nuclear protein, expressed by proliferating cells in all phases of the active cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and M phase). It is absent in resting (G0) cells. Ki67 antibodies are useful in establishing the cell growing fraction in neoplasms. In neoplastic tissues the prognostic value is comparable to the tritiated thymidine-labelling index. The correlation between low Ki67 index and histologically low-grade tumors is strong. Ki67 is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunofluorescence (IC): 1:10-1:500, Western Blot: 1:100-1:2000, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:100-1:500, Flow Cytometry: 1:100, Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Positive Controls: Mouse intestine, pancreas, spleen, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
