Anti-Interleukin 3 (IL-3)

Interleukin-3 is a pleiotrophic factor produced primarily by activated T cells that can stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells as well as various lineage committed progenitors. IL-3 exerts its biological activities via a heterodimeric receptor composed of an IL-3 specific a chain and common b chain that is shared with the IL-5 and GM-CSF high-affinity receptors. Receptors for IL-3 are present on bone marrow progenitors, and several mature myeloid cell types. Mature canine IL-3 shares 40% aa sequence identity with IL-3 of other mammals. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
