Interleukin-1 receptor II (IL-1 RII), also known as CD121b, is an immunoglobulin superfamily receptor that binds the pleiotropic cytokines IL-1a and IL-1b. It acts as an IL-1 antagonist because it has a short cytoplasmic domain and does not transduce IL-1 signals. IL-1 RII exists both as a transmembrane protein and as a soluble form that is released by proteolysis. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul/10e6 cells using human peripheral blood mononuclear cells , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma with B cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
