Anti-GK, NT (GK, Glycerol kinase, ATP:glycerol 3-phosphotransferase) (Azide free) (APC)

The product of this gene belongs to the FGGY kinase family of proteins and encodes glycerol kinase. Glycerol kinase is a key enzyme in the regulation of glycerol uptake and metabolism. It catalyzes the phosphorylation of glycerol by ATP, yielding ADP and glycerol-3-phosphate. Defects in this gene are the cause of glycerol kinase deficiency (GKD). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, FLISA, Recommended Dilution: FLISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-50, Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
