Anti-Epsin2, NT (Epsin 2, EPS-15 Interacting Protein 2, EPN2, KIAA1065)

Epsin2 plays a role in the formation of clathrin-coated invaginations and endocytosis. It binds to EPS15 (via the NPF repeat domain), as well as to AP-2 and clathrin (via the DPW repeat domain). The protein resides in the cytoplasm, in punctate structures throughout the cell, associated with clathrin-coated vesicles, and is particularly concentrated in the region of the Golgi complex. Highest expression is found in brain, with lower levels detected in lung and liver. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
