EphB3, also known as Mdk5, Hek2, or Sek4, is a 993 amino acid (aa), 110kD member of , the Eph family of tyrosine kinase receptors, which engage in bidirectional signaling with , members of the ephrin transmembrane ligand family. EphB3 engages ephrin B ligands. , Mouse EphB3 shares 99 and 97% aa identity with rat and and human EphB3, respectively, , and ~62% identity with mouse EphB1 and EphB2, within the 525 aa extracellular domain. , EphB receptors are involved in central nervous system axon guidance during development , or injury. EphB3 also plays multiple roles in structural organization of pre- and postnatal , intestine, skin, and thymus. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
