Anti-Apolipoprotein C-I (Apo C-I)

Apolipoproteins which are present in human plasma transport circulating lipids throughout the body. Abnormal concentrations of these proteins in the blood have been correlated with atherosclerotic disorders including coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. Approximately 50% of the HDL particle is protein, 70% Apo AI and 20% Apo AII. LDL contains approximately 20% protein, 95% of which is Apo B100. Apo C's, Apo B and Apo E are found in VLDL particles, accounting for approximately 10% of this particle. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1: 8000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
