JNK Reagents
|
|
The Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs), also known as stress-activated
protein kinases (SAPKs), are known to be activated by cell stress-inducing stimuli such as heat shock, UV irradiation,
hyperosmolarity, and ischemia/reperfusion injury, and by specific cell surface receptors. JNK family kinases
phosphorylate a number of nuclear targets and regulate multiple biological processes that include embryonic
morphogenesis, apoptosis, thymocyte development and activation, and cell proliferation.
BIOMOL offers a broad selection of active JNK enzymes, specific inhibitors, substrates and
phosphospecific antibodies for studying the JNK pathway. |
JNK Inhibitors and Activators
|
NEW - L-JNK inhibitor 1 (Cat. # EI-354)
A cell-permeable peptide that inhibits the interaction between JNK (JNK-1, -2 and –3) and its substrate (in vitro IC50 ~ 1 microM). |
NEW - D-JNK Inhibitor 1 (Cat. #
EI-355)
Similar to L-JNK inhibitor 1 (above), but the D-stereoisomer is less readily degraded than the L-stereoisomer (Cat. # EI-354) when administered to experimental animals.
|
SP600125 (Cat. #
EI-305)
A novel potent JNK1, -2, and -3 inhibitor (IC50=0.11 microM)
|
|
Anisomycin (Cat. #
ST-102)
Activates JNK/SAPKs, but not ERKs, leading to the phosphorylation of S6, histone H3 and HMG-14, and the induction of the immediate-early genes c-fos and c-jun. |

| HCN Channel Antibodies |
The hyperpolarization-activated
cyclic nucleotide-gated channel family (HCN), comprised of four homologous members, generates
hyperpolarization-activated cation currents (Ih) in the heart and the brain. Ih currents play a crucial role in controlling
electrical pacemaker activity, contributing to biological processes such as heartbeat, sleep-wake cycle and synaptic plasticity. Each HCN subunit consists of six transmembrane (TM) domains, a pore region between TM5-TM6 and a cyclic nucleotide binding domain
in the cytoplasmic C-terminus. The HCN subunits can form functional homomers and can also co-assemble into functional heteromers. HCN1-4 differ in their speed of activation and the extent to which they are modulated by cAMP. HCN1 is the fastest
channel, followed by HCN2, HCN3 and HCN4. Recently this family of channels has been implicated in a newly recognized mechanism for chronic pain.
